On 28th of February 2025 the Management Board of the Special Economic Zone for Small Business represented by CEO Arkadiusz Dybiec and Vice CEO Robert Greb, participated in the ceremonial Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new production facility of Toyota Boshoku Poland Sp. z o.o. in the Municipality and City of Nowogrodziec.
Toyota Boshoku Poland (formerly TBAI) is a company within the Toyota Boshoku Group, an international automotive industry leader. The company specializes in manufacturing seat upholstery for Toyota and assembling hybrid model seats for brands such as BMW and MINI Cooper. The investor received a permit issued by the SEZ’s Management Board on 7th of April 2009, and it has already employed approximately 1,000 people. It is one of the key investors in the Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone in this part of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The groundbreaking ceremony was not only an opportunity for discussions with the Management Board of the Polish branch of Toyota Boshoku Poland, including President Halim Turhan and Vice President Kamil Suchorski, but also for presenting investment opportunities to Mr. Shoji Adachi – President of Toyota Boshoku Europe N.V. CEO of Kamienna Góra SEZ Arkadiusz Dybiec encouraged further investments in the Kamienna Góra SEZ, particularly considering the current potential of the S3 expressway and the borderland areas in Kamienna Góra region.
The event also provided an opportunity for discussions with the Mayor of Nowogrodziec, Ms. Joanna Świder, regarding the challenges faced by local government units and investors in the context of the region’s further economic development. Topics included road infrastructure, the availability of investment land, as well as the needs of the local labor market and potential support for entrepreneurs from Nowogrodziec Municipality.
