EN<\/strong><\/p>\n Yesterday, a remarkable meeting took place in Kamienna G\u00f3ra between the CEO of SSEMP S.A., Arkadiusz Dybiec, Vice CEO Robert Greb, and Professor Michele Pigliucci \u2013 a renowned expert who serves as Associate Professor of Economic and Political Geography at the prestigious Universit\u00e0 degli Studi Link in Rome.<\/p>\n Professor Pigliucci is an expert for the Italian government; since January 2024, he has been appointed as an expert within the „Struttura di missione ZES” by the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies, and for the NRP. He is responsible for research, reports, and analyses on the functioning of Special Economic Zones in Europe.<\/p>\n In particular, Professor Pigliucci selected the Kamienna G\u00f3ra Special Economic Zone<\/strong> as representative among 14 Polish SEZs. We are becoming a model for the Italian government in the management of SEZs within the framework of the European single market and EU legislation.<\/p>\n This is a huge recognition, showing how far we’ve come since the system transformation in 1989. The example of Kamienna G\u00f3ra, a region that suffered greatly after political changes, demonstrates the success of the implemented economic policies \u2013 local businesses and industries have been effectively revitalized.<\/p>\n The Italian government recognizes similar socio-economic challenges in Southern Italy, and our experience may help develop effective methods for managing newly established economic zones.<\/p>\n Such meetings build partnerships that extend beyond our region \u2013 we are moving towards international cooperation that strengthens our position as a model to follow in Europe!<\/p>\n A big thank you to everyone involved in organizing Professor Pigliucci’s visit to Kamienna G\u00f3ra \u2013 especially to Jakub Bornio, PhD from the University of Wroc\u0142aw.<\/p>\n
